Vijayawada: AP minister Palle Raghunath
Reddy today said farmers’ loans would be
waived in three phases.
Speaking at a function organized in Irrigation
department on the occasion of 110th birth
anniversary of Guram Jashua, the minister
said for the first time in the country Andhra
Pradesh is going to waive Rs 35,000 crore
farm loans benefiting one crore people. He
also asked farmers not to worry about waiver
of loans. The government would also provide
Rs one lakh each to DWCRA women and Rs
7,800 crore loans would be given to them, he
added.
Speaking on the occasion, Major Irrigation
Minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao said
the TDP government would fulfill all its
election promises. Minister Kollu Ravindra
and MP Konakalla Satyanarayana were also
present.
